The night was marred by noise from downstairs, but we cherished the stunning views and the warm welcome of our host. A cake surprise upon arrival made up for some restlessness.

Idyllic rural scenery with lovely stone walls and rolling hills really sets the mood. The room's solid wood furniture adds a unique rustic charm, and the local delicacies served at breakfast—like Staffordshire oatcakes—offer a taste of the region that’s worth trying.
If you're given a room without an en suite bathroom, prepare for shared facilities, which may be an inconvenience for some. The instructions for check-in can be confusing, especially when arriving late, and finding your way through the poorly lit area becomes a challenge. Parking spaces lack clear indicators, leading to possible confusion on where to park. The shared bathroom’s timing for hot water availability could be a hassle after long outdoor activities, and a bath doesn’t always meet expectations for a refreshing shower after a day of walking. Lastly, the room feels quite cramped, and the furnishings have seen better days, which might not suit those desiring a more modern stay.

Could benefit from clearer signage for rooms.

Oh mate, the pho down at the local spot was a downright revelation! Plus, the cozy garden with a fire pit at the cottage was a perfect spot for evening banter. We really got to kick back and relax while enjoying the local beers. Can't forget to mention how gorgeous everything looked, especially amidst the lush Staffordshire landscape!
The only hiccup was the noise from downstairs, but honestly, it just added a bit of character to the place. We still had a top-notch time soaking in the vibe, even with a little background chatter.

Idyllic getaway in the countryside
My wife and I had a lovely overnight stay. The lavender room was cute, with fresh cake waiting for us! The country views were stunning, and it was super quiet. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delish. The only hitch was the drive up. a bit rough for low cars. Otherwise, everything was great!
